While it is all awful and seriously needs to be revised the fact that I am that close to reaching the end is extremely reassuring. I can at least pass this thing.

when you’re younger, being smart and being able to pass classes easily without studying is not a good thing
because then when you hit a point where you do have to study for classes, you have no idea how to study
2 20,000 word projects in two year. Only now am I regretting going to grad school right away. And to think I considered doing my phd right away. 140,000 words in 5 years…

There are more references to the gods in Lucan’s Bellum Civile (229) than Vergil’s Aeneid (200 - and it is longer by like 2,000 lines!), and yet scholars continue to describe the Bellum Civile as being god-less and devoid of them.
Just because they are not active characters does not mean they are not involved. Their absence from the action is a type of presence, especially since the other characters keep referring to them.
